Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve focus characteristics without varying the current of a white peak signal, by reducing the 1st grid voltage of a CRT while raising the 2nd grid voltage by making use of the white peak signal when receiving the signal. CONSTITUTION:To a three-electron gun color cathode-ray tube 1, a primary-color signal from a signal circuit 12 is supplied and then while a DC voltage applied to a terminal 7 is divided and supplied to the 1st grid 3, a DC voltage applied to a terminal 8 is divided and applied to the 2nd grid 4. A video signal from the signal circuit 12, on the other hand, is supplied to an HPF9 and an inverting amplifier 10 via a coupling capacitor 11. The output of this HPF9 is supplied to the 1st grid 3 via a coupling capacitor 13 and the output of the amplifier 10 is supplied to the 2nd grid 4 via an HPF18 and a coupling capacitor 14. When a white peak signal is received, high frequency components of the signal are extracted by the HPFs 9 and 18 and while the voltage of the grid 3 is reduced, that of the grid 4 is raised to prevent blooming.
