Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption, and to reduce the cost of a TV receiver by applying stabilized voltages as operation start reference voltages only to a VIF circuit and RFAGC circuit and fluctuating voltages to other circuits.
CONSTITUTION: Video detection circuit 3, video circuit 4, cathode ray tube 5, AGC detection circuit 9, and RFAGC circuit 10 formed of IC elements are supplied with a voltage, as it is, obtained by rectifying 12 a power voltage via horizontal output circuit 14. Voltages applied to the cathode and 1st grid of cathode-ray tube 5 vary with the power voltage from circuit 14, and the voltage between the both is kept constant, so that no variation in picture caused by the variation in power voltage will occur. In order to prevent reception characteristics from deteriorating in a weak field, however, VIF circuit 2 is applied with a stabilized voltage from voltage stabilizing circuit 15, and RFAGC circuit 10 is applied with a stabilized voltage as its operation start reference voltage from voltage stabilizing circuit 13, thereby stabilizing the AGC operation. Consequently, the power consumption of the voltage stabilizing circuits is reduced, and the cost is also reduced.
