Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a power consumption into a necessary minimum by stopping independently respective peripheral hardwares except a CPU and supplying a system clock only to the peripheral hardware of the necessary minimum when a program is executed. CONSTITUTION:The device is composed of a program part 101, a CPU 100 and a peripheral hardware 105 and at a CPU 100, a decoder part 102, a control part 103 and a clock control part 104 are provided. At the peripheral hardware 105, peripheral hardwares A-D and a control part 106 are provided. The device has an HLT instruction input signal 103-1 outputted from the control part 103 to the peripheral hardware control part 106 and stopping signals 106-1-4 outputted by the control part 106 for respective peripheral hardwares A-D. Thus, at the time of stopping, the CPU 100 and the non-prescribed peripheral hardware stop an action and only the prescribed hardware is operated. As a result, the power consumption of a system goes to the necessary minimum one.
