Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate creases generated in a transfer body at the time of recording and also prevent deterioration of image quality due to the transition of dye in the form of blocks by constituting a transfer body for thermal transfer recording containing modified amido silicone oil in a coloring material layer. CONSTITUTION:A transfer body is composed of a substrate 1 and a coloring material layer 2 and modified amido silicone oil is contained in the interior and surface of the coloring material layer 2. The modified amido silicone oil is a copolymer of silicon oil and amido compound, and the compound shown in a formula (I) is useful. However, in the formula (I), R1=H or a 1-3C alkyl group or an alkoxy group, R2 is a up to 25C alkyl group and m, n are integers of less than 2,000 respectively. When this transfer body is used, the growth of particles due to the precipitation of dye is inhibited and thereby the generation of creases in the transfer body is prevented. Furthermore, the deterioration of image quality attributed to the transition of dye in the form of blocks is prevented.
