Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive the simplification of the constitution of a route changeover switch by forming a detouring circuit via other normal standby line when an active line and a standby line between opposed terminal stations have a fault. CONSTITUTION:Plural terminal stations 1-4 are connected in a loop by bidirectional active lines 101-108 and standby lines 109-112 and a system switch 113 applying switching with the active lines 101-108 and the standby lines 109-112 is provided on each terminal station. Then a detouring switch 114 for forming the detouring circuit is provided between the system switch 113 and the lines 101, 103, 105, 107 in the active lines 101-108 and the switch 114 applies the inter-cross connection between each active line in crockwise and counter clockwise directions and each standby line in the opposite side or the inter-bridge connection between both standby lines in the clockwise and counter clockwise directions. Thus, a fault countermeasure by the system switching and route switching is applied by having only to add the bypass switch and the simultaneous fault of the standby line is coped with a simple constitution.
