Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce transmission loss and impedance mismatching by providing an auxiliary relay group, which corresponds to one transfer type relay, to every two systems of stand-by side outputs of a transfer type main relay group. CONSTITUTION:In a switching circuit 2 which connects one stand-by system to, for example, four in-use systems, transmission lines 11-14 are provided with main relays RL1-RL4 for switching input signals, and in-use circuits 31-34 are connected to their one-side contacts. Conductors extending from the other-side contacts of the main relays are connected to auxiliary relays RL1-1 and RL1-2 of the 1st stage respectively. The common terminal of the RL1-1 and RL1-2 is connected to the auxiliary relay RL2-1 of the 2nd stage, whose common terminal is connected to a stand-by system circuit 4. When the in-use circuit 31 has a fault, the transmission line 11 is connected to the stand-by system 4 through the RL1, RL1-1 and RL2-1, and the contact of the RL1 is made independent of the other in-use systems; and the number of switching relays is decreased, and transmission loss and impedance mismatching during switching are reduced, lower the error rate of a transmitted signal.
