CONSTITUTION:In driving of an engine 5, each output signal of an inlet pressure sensor 9 and an outlet pressure sensor 10, detecting pressure at both up-and downstream sides of an exhaust trap 8 in an exhaust passage is inputted into a controller 1 together with each output signal of an engine speed sensor 6 and a load sensor 7. At this controller 1, first it is found out of a duty ratio corresponding to engine speed and load.
