Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve drivability of an engine, by providing a control valve in a recirculating passage of exhaust gas, receiving load and temperature signals with a pulse motor and continuously controlling the control valve with the pulse motor.
CONSTITUTION: Intake and exhaust pipes 3, 4 of an engine 2 are communicated by a recirculating passage 5 provided with a control valve 6, and exhaust gas is partially recirculated to the intake pipe 3. A valve body 12 in the control valve 6 is vertically moved continuously by a pulse motor 7 consisting of a rotor 14 and the like. Signals corresponding to a load and temperature and the like in various detectors 23 are input to a controller 22, then the motor 7 is driven by said controller 22 to determine an opening degree of the valve body 12 in accordance with the operating condition.
