Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve purifying efficiency of a catalyzer, by variably controlling change of amplitude and period of air-fuel ratio through a fuel injector control unit further performing feedback operation of mean air-fuel ratio to said control unit. CONSTITUTION:In a controller of air-fuel ratio, in which an injector 2 is controlled through a control unit 12 on the basis of each output of an oxygen sensor 10, set in an exhaust line 9, and an air flow sensor 11 in an engine 8, an arithmetic circuit 121 and amplifying circuit 122 are provided in a signal line of the oxygen sensor 10. This arithmetic circuit 121 is constituted such that in a period of change of output from the oxygen sensor 10, a time of lean level or rich level is detected to calculate the time for in what proportion it is occupied in the period. While the amplifying circuit 122 is constituted to amplify a difference between output of the arithmetic circuit 121 and a reference value, and output of this circuit 122 is input to said unit 12.
