Abstract
PURPOSE:To change the flow of program read by executing a micro instruction which sets the initial value of an address counter for reading microprogram memory in accordance with the arithmetic processing result in a hardware part. CONSTITUTION:A microprogram is set to a microprogram memory 20 from a host CPU 1. The CPU 1 sets the initial value to an address counter 21 and requests a counter 21 to start counting. When the value in the counter 21 is incremented from the initial value, the microprogram stored in the memory 20 is successively read out from the address indicated by the initial value. Each micro instruction constituting the read microprogram is decoded by a micro instruction decoder 25. The micro instruction includes a control instruction of the hardware part for input/output and storage of an image and arithmetic processing, and this control instruction is given to the hardware part to set or update the operation state.
