Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of hardware, without incorporating a program in a processor, by providing the 2nd processor in the processor and a means which can store the substantial processing program from a main storage device. CONSTITUTION:The processor consists of the 1st and 2nd logical device 1 and 2, a main storage device 3, a channel device 4, an external storage controller 5, and an external storage device 6. A control storage 22 of the 2nd logical device 2 stores a microprogram. A microprocessor 21 executes the program. A bus 21a transmits a data signal and a control signal. A decoder 24 interpretes the control signal and the data signal and outputs the control signal. A bus register 25 temporarily stores a microinstruction or address information, when the signal on the bus 21a is transferred to a microinstruction register 12, an address register 13 and a comparison register 15. An incorporated program storage means 23 incorporates the microprogram to be stored in the 1st control storage 11.
