Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the resolution of an output frequency without increasing the frequency of a reference clock signal by improving the set resolution of a frequency dividing ratio. CONSTITUTION:A frequency dividing ratio is set at a numerical value operated down to the first decimal place in the sexadecimal notation by a frequency dividing ratio setter 3. Then, the integer part n1 of said numerical value is inputted to an adder 14 and the decimal part M/16 (M is a value in the first decimal place), to an interpolation table ROM 15. The ROM 15 outputs the decimal part M/16 to a shift register 16. Said shift register 16 outputs a given bit of data to the adder 14 at the time of renewing an output signal to a waveform signal corresponding to each time section.
