Abstract

PURPOSE:To execute a high-speed picture search by obtaining picture information with less noise by switching properly reproducing signals obtained from a pair of heads of different azimuths in case of forward/reverse winding, writing the information in an asynchronous type field memory with the synchronizing signal of this information as a reference, and reading thus written information with a standard TV synchronizing signal reference. CONSTITUTION:Head 10A, 10B' obtains reproducing signals respectively from tracks of positive or negative azimuth, and the other pair of heads operates similarly. When the envelope of a reproducing signal is below the reference voltage of a comparator 13, and switches S1, S2 are switched, a one-field-length of video signals with reduced noise is obtained from a circuit 15. The signal is separated into a luminance signal Y and a color difference signal C at a video signal processing circuit 16, and synchronized at an S-separation circuit 19, and inputted to a memory control part 23. The control part 23 obtains a clock signal sychronized with an HD signal from a start/stop oscillator 25, controls and records a field memory 20, and reads with a clock from a reference oscillator 26 and standard VD, HD signals generated out of said clock as reference. By such constitution, images can be scanned at high speed without shifting of the image.
