Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify a driving circuit, by a method wherein magnetic poles having predetermined polarities are generated by closed loop coils at sub- pectinated sections upon the leading and trailing edges of a pulse inputted into the coil to determine the rotating direction of a rotor. CONSTITUTION:A pair of sub-yokes 10, 11 are provided at both sides of a pair of stator yokes 5, 6. Sub-pectinated sections 12, 13, formed on the pair of sub- yokes 10, 11, are arranged alternately. Further, closed loop coils 14, 15 are provided in the pair of sub-yokes 10, 11 respectively. Currents in directions for precluding the change of flux generated based on pulse inputs for a coil 7 are conducted through the closed loop coils 14, 15 whereby the rotating direction of a rotor 4 is determined.
