Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify a motor drive circuit having a rotary position detector by sequentially energizing 3-phase coils one by one in response to a signal obtained from the position detector. CONSTITUTION:A rotor magnet 1 is magnetized to four poles, and a shaft 2 is secured to the center of the magnet. Three armature cores 4a-4c are provided on the planar surface of a stator, and salient poles 5a, 5b are formed at both ends of the respective cores 4a-4c. The interval between the poles 5a and 5b is set at 90 deg., and 3-phase coils P1-P3 are wound on one pole 5a of the respective cores 4a-4c. The interval between the coils is at 120 deg.. Rotor position detecting colored parts 6a, 6b, 6a' are formed at the peripheral surface of the rotor magnet 1, and detectors S1, S2 having light emitting elements are disposed closely and opposite to the colored parts at the stator side. The interval between the detectors S1 and S2 is at 120 deg..
