Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain definite torque with the brushless DC motor irrelevant to the rotating angular position of the rotor thereof by a method wherein field magnets being formed to generate magnetic flux thereof proportional to sin<2>theta (theta is rotating angle of the rotor) after magnetization, and two phases driving coils being arranged at the positions different by an odd number times of 90 deg. electric angles with each other, are provided. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet magnetized as to have plural poles is used for the rotor magnet 2, and magnetic field thereof after magnetization is made as to form a wave form being proportional to sin<2>theta. While the first driving coil consisting of winding blocks C1 and C2 connected in series and the second driving coil consisting of winding blocks C3 and C4 connected in series are arranged at the positions different by the odd number times of 90 deg. electric angles with each other. The direction of the current to be made to flow in the first and the second driving coils are changed over in accordance with outputs of Hall elements 11, 12 detecting magnetic field of the rotor magnet 2.
