By this constitution, most of tracking error areas E and E' are positioned in the third light receiving part 23 and occupy only a small area in the first and second light receiving parts 21 and 22 used for focusing error detection in the focusing state of the optical disk, and the disturbance component applied to a focusing error signal by the change of the quantity of light in tracking error areas E and E' is suppressed.
