Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently and quickly take out and use the heat stored in a heat storage material, without lowering the heating power by providing a third heat exchanger for heat exchanging between the storage material and coolant passed through a heat exchanger to serve as a condenser. CONSTITUTION: When an outdoor heat exchanger 25 is detected frosting in the heating operation, a motor-driven valve 24 is closed according to this detection signal and an electromagnetic valve 34 is opened. Then, a liq. coolant having discharged the head through an indoor heat exchanger 23 passes through the electromagnetic valve 34 because of the closed valve 24 to a capillary tube 35 which reduces its pressure, and flows into one end of coolant passage 29 of a heat storage heat exchanger 30 via a coolant piping 36. The heat regenerator 30 heat-exchanges between the storage material 32 and coolant flowing in the coolant passage 29 to evaporate the coolant, resulting high temp. gas coolant is fed to the outdoor heat exchanger 25 via a coolant piping 38 and check valve 37 to discharge the heat in this heat exchanger 25 to defrost and liquefies, thus defrosting, without lowering the heating power.
