Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a sensor for determination of acetic acid and to enable the mass-production of said sensor by sealing an electrolyte-contg. material by a gas permeable film into a groove and incorporating an electrolyte and microorganism bacteria which utilize the acetic acid into said material. CONSTITUTION:This acetic acid sensor has a substrate 1 which has the groove for housing the material incorporated therein with the electrolyte, two electrodes 3, 4 which are formed via an insulating film 2 on this substrate 1 and extend respectively partly in the groove, and the gas permeable film 6 which coats the top surface of the groove. The electrolyte-contg. material is sealed in the groove by the gas permeable film 6 and contains the electrolyte and the microorganism bacteria which utilize the acetic acid. The acetic acid sensor is miniaturized by constituting the sensor in such a manner; in addition, the simultaneous mass production of the sensor is enabled and the production cost is reduced.
