Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and to reduce drop of electric chargeability due to preexposure fatigue by incorporating at least one kind of silicon nitride, silicon oxide, and aluminum oxide in an undercoat layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by successively laminating on a conductive substrate the undercoat layer containing at least one of silicon nitride, silicon oxide, and aluminum oxide, and preferably, a binder resin, and a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be high in sensitivity and remarkably small in drop of potential acceptance due to preexposure fatigue and free of lag in rising of potential acceptance even after repeated cycles of charging and exposure.
