Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive to save a discrimination circuit by using an intermediate frequency signal to evaluate the S/N of a digital reception signal. CONSTITUTION:An output of a main filter 11 of a receiver is connected to an intermediate frequency amplifier 12 and a limiter 13 and part of the output of the limiter 13 is connected to a demodulator and the remaining signal is subjected to intermediate frequency component rejection by a band pass filter 14, amplified to a level detectable by a low-frequency amplifier 15 and noise is detected by a detection circuit 16. The detected noise voltage is compared with a comparison voltage Vref of a comparator 17 to apply noise control by an output of the comparator 17. Thus, the control voltage corresponding to the error rate of the digital signal is obtained.
