Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at reduction of the production of defectives and a manufactur ing cost for a ball joint by forming a low melting point alloy or metallic coating on the surface of a metallic terminal and then forming a thermoplastic receiver on the outer circumference of the coating next melting and removing the coating by heating. CONSTITUTION:A low melting point alloy or metallic coating 2 are formed on the spherical portion 3 of an iron group metal or aluminum alloy made terminal 1 and a thermoplastic receiver 4 is formed by injection molding on its outer circumference. Next, the coating 2 is molten and removed by being dipped in an oil bath 5 having a higher melting point than that of the low melting point alloy or metal. Therefore, a distance between any terminal and the receiver is formed in stability so that the production of defectives is reduced and its manufacturing cost can be reduced.
