Abstract
PURPOSE: To integrally form a pulley having irregular wall thickness parts through simple process by grasping a rough pulley shape material made by molding and sintering of metallic powder from both side surfaces, then press-fitting a punch to iron the inside circumferential surface of a pulley mounting part then forming belt groove parts by rolling on the outside circumferential surface.
CONSTITUTION: The above-mentioned rough pulley shape material A' is grasped from both upper and lower side surfaces by clampers 9, 10, and is further held thereon by keep metals 7 and 8. In this state, a punch 11 provided at the center of the keep metal 7 is lowered and is press-fitted to the material A' into the bore part of a boss part 3, thereby ironing the inside circumferential surface and key groove surface 5 of the prt 3. A rolling roll 12 then put in press-contact with the end face of the outside circumferential part 2 of the material A' and with the punch 11 as axis, the material A' is rotated. As a result, circumferential belt grooves 6 are formed on the outside circumferential surface of the material A', and an intended pulley A is obtained. Here, the 13 in the figure denotes the holes provided for the purpose of weight reduction.
