Abstract
PURPOSE: To keep a water quality at a proper value at all times without reducing flow rates of feed water and condensate by providing a first injection piping having a check valve extending from a low pressure drain pump to an upstream side of a condensate desalting apparatus and a second injection piping having a check valve extending to a downstream side of the condensate desalting apparatus. CONSTITUTION: In ordinary operation, a check valve 36 of a second injection piping 35 is fully closed, and low pressure feedwater heater drain is injected into upstream side condensate in a condensate desalting apparatus 31 through a first injection piping 32. Hereby, the low pressure feed water heater drain is passed through the condensate desalting apparatus 31 to keep a water quality at a proper value. In contrast, when there happens seawater leakage in a condenser 26, the check valve 36 of the second injection piping 35 is fully opened, and a check valve 34 of the first injection piping 32 is fully closed to change over an injection point. Hereby, there is ensured redundancy of a flow rate for the condensate desalting apparatus 31, and hence continuous operation of a plant is ensured also against happening of seawater leakage.
