Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the cavitation from generating and to permit a design for low pressures, by arranging by-pass lines to purifying apparatus system, and providing each by-pass line with a by-pass valve that will be opened during a transition period when an abrupt change in the flow rate of condensate occurs.
CONSTITUTION: The purifying apparatus systems 34aW34n each equipped with a filter 36, a strainer 37, a flow rate adjusting valve 38 and a flow meter 39a are provided with the by-pass lines 41aW41n having the by-pass valves 42aW42n, and during a transition period when an abrupt change in the flow rate of condensate occurs, any one of the by-pass valves 42aW42n will be opened by a starting signal generated based on the cause of the occurence of the change. Therefore, since lowering of pump suction pressure during the transition period can be allieviated, the excess suction water head of upstream pump group means can be decreased to lower the lift, the condensate-coolant system can be designed to be used at low pressures, and the cavitation can be positively prevented from generating.
