PURPOSE:To obtain a conductive roll of excellent equality which is uniform in electrical conductivity and has no possibility of contaminating a photosensitive body by forming a conductive resin layer consisting of a conductive resin compsn. essentially composed of N-methylmethoxylated nylon on the roll surface. CONSTITUTION:A conductive elastic layer 12a is formed via an adhesive agent layer on the outside peripheral face of a metallic shaft 10 and further, the conductive resin layer 11 is formed on the surface thereof. The conductive resin layer 11 is formed by coating a resin soln. prepd. by dissolving the N- methylmethoxylated nylon into a solvent such as solvent mixture composed of methanol and toluene on the outside peripheral face of the conductive elastic layer 12 and curing the coating by drying. Since the conductive resin layer 11 is formed by using the resin soln. uniformly dissolved with the N- methylmethoxylated nylon. the deviated presence of the electrical conductivity according to places is obviated and the uniform electrical conductivity is surely obtd. There is no possibility of contaminating the photosensitive body, etc.
