Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the operating condition of a blast furnace by drawing solid reducing agents in the furnace core part from plural points in the circumferential direction of the blast furnace at the time of blowing down and estimating the deviation in the packing state of the furnace core solid reducing agents from the existence ratio of tracer solid reducing agents. CONSTITUTION:Coke is charged to the center of the furnace top by using tracer coke. The core part coke is drawn from the plural points, for example, tuyeres, in the circumferential direction of the blast furnace at the time of blowing down and the existence ratios of the tracer coke are investigated. These existence ratios are compared with the existence ratio of the tracer coke (standard existence ratio) when the flow lines of the axial center charge coke are distributed with good balance, by which the deviation in the flow lines is known and the deviation in the packing state of the furnace core solid reducing agents is estimated. The axial center charge coke is charged to the furnace by controlling the grain size distribution, cold strength, hot strength, etc., thereof in accordance with the results thereof, by which the air permeability and liquid permeability of the furnace core coke layers are controlled as desired. The operating condition of the blast furnace is thereby stabilized and the wear of the furnace bottom refractories is prevented.
