Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize furnace waves by incorporating a tracer into charged coke in a blast furnace operation, thereby judging the updating time of the furnace core coke and adequately controlling the ratio and charging region of the good-quality coke to be charged in the core part of the blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:The good-quality coke CB which has excellent air permeability and liquid permeability and is incorporated therein with the tracer such as Zr is used and the updating time of the furnace core coke is decided by analyzing the tracer in order to improve the air and liquid permeability of the core coke C0 by improving the air permeability in the furnace core part at the time of operating the blast furnace by alternately charging ore O and ordinary coke CA to the blast furnace top. The charging rate of the axial center charge coke Ct and the radius rt of the charge region of the axial center charge coke with respect to the radius Rt of the charge raw material at the furnace top are controlled. The packing state of the core coke C0 in the furnace bottom is maintained adequate and the air permeability and the flowability of molten iron in the central part in the blast furnace are improved, by which the blast furnace waves are stabilized and the operating efficiency is improved.
