Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable mass production to be performed and to contrive cost reduction, by a method wherein a cover substrate for constructing a passage from a discharge port and a liquid chamber from the passage is formed by unified forming. CONSTITUTION:A heating element 9 together with a lead electrode 8 are formed on a surface of a substrate 2. A manufacturing process of a thermal head which has been conventionally known can be applied to construction of those lead electrodes, heating elements, or the like. When the cover substrate 1 is adhered to the substrate 2, a groove 5 forms a liquid (ink) passage and a discharge port 4, and an area 6 forms a chamber storing recording liquid (ink) introduced from an inflow port 3. This cover substrate (the discharge port - the passage - the liquid chamber) 1 is formed by integral forming of resin. As the resin, for instance, acrylic resin, phenol resin, urea resin, melamine resin, polyester resin, etc. are used, and can be formed by an ordinary method. Further, the cover substrate 1 and the substrate 2 are adhered to each other by using, for instance, thermosetting epoxy adhesive, or ultraviolet setting adhesive, etc.
