Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of the magnetic saturation of a magnetic material, to reduce eddy current loss, and to generate a strong magnetic field with a high frequency, by regulating the flow of a main magnetic flux within a nonmagnetic material by using a superconductive material. CONSTITUTION:A conductor 3 is sandwiched between superconductors 1 and 2 via insulating layers 4 and 5, and a cross-section exposed on respective layer is constituted so as to be confronted with a magnetic recording medium, and a current in a direction confronted with information to be recorded is impressed on the conductor 3. The magnetic field generated by the current expands to an infinite point around the conductor 3 when no superconductors 1 and 2 exist, however, since the magnetic field passes through a space sandwiched by the superconductors 1 and 2 by the superconductors 1 and 2, no regulation exists in flux density passing the space in practical use. In such a way, it is possible to generate a large magnetic field compared with the current value of the conductor 3, and also, to prevent remarkably eddy current loss from being generated.
