Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily recognize the length of each scan bus by storing the scan bus length into a shift register of a constant bit which is shared by plural scan buses. CONSTITUTION:A multiplexer 200 selects one of various register groups 100-102 forming the scan buses based on the selection signal which is produced by a selection signal generating circuit 400 from the scan bus number to be scanned. The output of the selected register group is connected to the input of a shift register 300. The scan bus length produced by a scan bus length generating circuit 410 based on a scan bus number is set at the register 300 via its parallel input. Under such conditions, a scan bus is moved by an extent equal to the number of bits of the register 300. Then the data delivered from the register 300 are stored in a diagnosis processor. Thus the scan bus length is recognized.
