Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The ingot obtained by refining and then casting low-carbon killed steel, etc., is hot-rolled. The hot-rolled material is cold-rolled and heat- treated one or more times, and finally cold-rolled to a prescribed sheet thickness. In the final cold rolling, the surface roughness Ra of the material is controlled to 0.2-1.0mum and the Sm to <=100mum with the rolling roll having the surface dulled by laser beam machining. By this method, a degreased shadow mask material exhibiting excellent adhesion of the resist film and blackened film in the succeeding stage for producing a shadow mask can be obtained.
