Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an overrich phenomenon of an engine during its warming up stage and enable early purging of fuel vapor by performing the purging when a vehicle is running at a specified speed or more even if the engine is under low temperature condition. CONSTITUTION:Detected values of an intake absolute pressure sensor 11, an intake temperature sensor 12, a cooling water temperature sensor 13, an engine speed sensor, an O2 sensor 17 and a vehicle speed sensor 18 and the like are input into an electronic control unit 10, which controls a purge controlling electromagnet valve 24 provided on a fuel vapor purging conduit 22 that connects a canister 21 to an intake pipe 2, together with a linear solenoid type electromagnetic valve 9 provided on a secondary air supply passage 7. The electronic control unit 10, compares the cooling water temperature with first specified temperature (for example, 63 deg.C) and with a second specified tempera ture (for example, 75 deg.C), and releases the purge controlling electromagnetic valve 24 when a vehicle is running at a specified speed or more even if the engine is under low temperature condition.
