Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture an Fe-Ni alloy having superior formability by adding a specified amt. of B to an Fe-Ni alloy having a specified compsn. and by carrying out final cold rolling at a specified draft and annealing at a specified temp. CONSTITUTION:0.003-0.03wt.% B is added to an Fe-Ni alloy consisting of 30-85wt.% Ni and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. The B added alloy is cold rolled at >=60% draft in a final rolling stage and annealed at 900-1,200 deg.C. Thus, an alpha-brass type texture is obtd. with little change in the basic properties of the Fe-Ni alloy and an Fe-Ni alloy having much superior formability is manufactured.
