Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce the title non-oriented magnetic steel sheet having low iron loss and excellent magnetic flux density by hot-rolling and then annealing a low-carbon steel having a specified composition, cold-rolling the steel once or >=2 times including process annealing in between, continuously annealing the steel, and further skin pass-rolling the steel, if necessary. CONSTITUTION:A low-carbon steel contg., by weight, <0.010% C, 0.10-2.0% Si, 0.75-1.5% Mn, 0.02-0.20% Sn, 0.1-1.0% Cu, 0.005-0.1% acid-soluble Al, <0.007% N, and <0.005% B (where B/N=0.5-1.5) is hot-rolled to obtain an intermediate sheet. The sheet is wound at 750-850 deg.C, annealed by its retaining heat or hot-rolled at that temp., and annealed. The sheet is then cold-rolled once or >=2 times including process annealing in between to obtain a steel sheet having desired thickness. The sheet is annealed in a continuous annealing furnace, and then skin pass-rolled at 2-12% draft to produce a non-oriented magnetic steel sheet having an excellent magnetic characteristic.
