Abstract

PURPOSE:To stably obtain the title non-oriented magnetic steel sheet having excellent iron loss and magnetic flux density in all directions on the sheet surface by hot-rolling and winding a low-alloy steel material having a specified composition in the respective temp. ranges, then annealing, cold-rolling, and further annealing the material. CONSTITUTION:A steel material contg. <=0.005% C, <=4.0% Si, <=0.20% Mn, <=0.006% S, <0.002% sol.Al, and further contg., as required, 0.050-0.200% P is treated as follows. Namely, the steel material is hot-rolled with the ferrite region temp. (800 deg.C) as the rolling finish temp. as shown in the figure, and then wound at <=600 deg.C, e.g., at 530 deg.C. The wound steel material is continuously annealed, for example, at 950 deg.C for 30sec, and then descaled by pickling. The descaled steel material is annealed at 700-1,000 deg.C, then cold-rolled at >=85% draft, e.g., at 90%, and further annealed at 850 deg.C to obtain the desired non- oriented magnetic steel sheet.
