Abstract

PURPOSE:To grasp a combustion state at each combustion zone to maintain stable combustion of the whole of the interior of an incinerator, by a method wherein the interior of the incinerator is monitored by means of an ITV, the picture thereof is divided for each combustion zone, the average luminance level of each combustion zone is determined through processing of the picture, and the control amount for combustion air and the stoker speed of each combustion zone are regulated. CONSTITUTION:An incinerator 1 comprises combustion zones of a dry zone 2, a first combustion zone 3, a second combustion zone 4, and an after-combustion zone 5. Each of the combustion zones is monitored by an ITV 6, situated at the upper part of a front wall, in a way that a picture is divided into approximate four sections. A picture processing device 7 is connected to the ITV 6 by means of the picture processing device 7, a picture is devided for each combustion zone to determine an average luminance level, and the amount of combustion air and the stoker speed of each combustion zone are regulated. Since, as noted above, a luminance level is determined for each combustion zone, a fluctuation in the quality of refuse can be detected by means of the size of the flame of the dry zone, and through regulation of a combustion air amount and a stoker speed corresponding to the size of the flame of the combustion zone, the quantity of generated heat can be controlled.
