Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate control of the combustion gas amount and the heat release value of an incinerator by a method wherein a hopper is fixed onto a stand frame fitted with a pressure detecting member and the assembly is used as a metering hopper device. CONSTITUTION:A holler 15 is fixed onto a stand frame 18, and a pressure detecting member 20 for detecting the weight of the dust contained in the hopper 15 is fitted at the lower portion of the stand frame 18. Accordingly, it is possible to measure the weight and specific gravity of the dust charged into the hopper 15, thereby to obtain the combustible-component content of the dust and to facilitate the control of the combustion gas amount and the heat release value of the combustion furnace.
