Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove the possibility of misignition and to realize complete combustion by providing both an adjusting valve adapted so as to be able to advance and retreat with respect to the opening of a secondary air feed cylinder and an adjusting valve driving means for driving the adjusting valve in accordance with a burning state. CONSTITUTION:An adjusting valve driving means 12 is provided on a combustion unit 5a and is constituted of a solenoid 13 which is operated by a detection signal sent from a frame current detector, and an adjusting valve 11 is fixed to a plunger 13a of this solenoid 13. At the time of ignition, the adjusting valve 11 is held by the solenoid 13 in a state of being apart from an opening 7a on the bottom surface of a secondary air feed cylinder 7, and the amount of secondary air flowing from the opening 7a on said bottom surface into the combustion unit 5a becomes maximum. On the other hand, the amount of primary air flowing into carburetters 5 becomes relatively minimum. Thus, a fuel concentration in the carburetters 5 becomes dense, and the flow rate of a mixed gas blowing out of burner ports 5b of burner heads becomes minimum to improve ignitability. Moreover, secondary air feed ports 10a are also provided on the circumference of the carburetters 5, and the amount of the secondary air becomes minimum at ignition and maximum after ignition in the same state as in the case of the amount of the primary air. Therefore, this removes the possibility of causing a shortage of the secondary air before and after ignition.
