Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce an amount of electrolyte holding materials doubling as a conductive auxiliary material and produce a positive electrode active material so much without lowering the holding capacity of an electrolyte as well as to aim at improvement in discharge capacity by using a positive electrode flux composed of the positive electrode active material consisting of specified chemical manganese dioxide and the electrolyte holding material doubling as the conductive auxiliary material consisting of oil furnace black. CONSTITUTION:Mn2O3 or a roast of natural manganese dioxide is dipped in a sulfuric acid solution, forming it into MnO2, and a positive electrode flux, constituted of a positive electrode active material consisting of chemical manganese dioxide secured by washing, drying and pressing this MnO2 and an electrolyte holding material doubling as a conducive auxiliary material consisting of oil furnace black whose hydrochloric acid liquid absorption quantity by JIS K1469 is 4-6ml/g, is used. With this constitution, even if an amount of the electrolyte holding materials is reduced, electrolyte holding capacity is maintainable ample enough, and the positive active material or the other side component can be made abundant in quantity as much as a portion for reducing the amount of the electrolyte holding material, thus discharge capacity is improvable.
