Abstract

PURPOSE:To control levitating force freely, by employing superconducting material on floor face and providing an electromagnet in a carrying device. CONSTITUTION:A carrying device 1 has electromagnets 3 and a power source 4 provided with a controller for controlling excitation of the electromagnets 3. The floor face is covered with superconducting material 2. Upon excitation of the electromagnets 3, repelling force is produced between the electromagnets 3 and the floor face through Meissner effect thus producing levitating force. The levitating force can be controlled according to load. Consequently, desired levitating force can be obtained as required.
