Abstract
PURPOSE:To stably control a magnetic levitation system, by arranging auxiliary magnetic bearing units for generating a force to levitate a carrier vehicle in air along guide-rails. CONSTITUTION:In the top board section internal-surface of a track frame 11, guide-rails 12a, 12b formed with ferromagnetic material are embedded. In the meantime, at four corner positions on the upper surface of the base 25 of a carrier vehicle 15, magnetic bearing units 31 are arranged, and at the intermediate position of a pair of the ones positioned longitudinally among the units 31, auxiliary magnetic bearing units 61a, 61b are arranged. Then, the magnetic bearing units 31 are controlled according to the output of cap sensors 34a, 34b. Besides, the auxiliary magnetic bearing units 61a, 61b are controlled in case that the carrier vehicle exceeds regulation weight. As a result, a space between the guide-rails and the carrier vehicle can be kept at a constant value.
