Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify a screw down device and its peripheral equipments and to improve a responsiveness by arranging plural coils parallelly between a housing and a chock, flowing an electric current in the coils and by controlling the rolling through those magnetic forces. CONSTITUTION:A load cell 10 is provided for the lower chock 4 and on the upper chock 3, a permanent magnet 5 and a normal conduction coil 6 and superconducting coil 7 are arranged in parallel. A constant electric current is made to flow to the superconducting coil 7 and through the generated magnetic force, said coil is pushed to a screw 9 consisting of feromagnetic materials. In this way, a constant rolling force is generated between the superconducting coil 7 and the permanent magnet 5, the rolling force and rolling position are controlled by changing the easily controllable electric current of the normal conduction coil 6. Because without using a hydraulic pressure and controlling only by the electric current, the responsiveness is improved and the screw down device and its peripheral equipments are simplified.
