Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability of the DC electromagnet by providing a backward diode in parallel with a closing coil in a coil provided in a stationary iron core and a forward diode between the closing coil and a normally closed auxiliary contact provided at a movable iron core, thereby eliminating a contact adjustment. CONSTITUTION:The closing coil 6 and a holding coil 7 are wound on the stationary iron core 10, and a main contact 12 for an electromagnetic contactor or the like becoming a load and the normally closed auxiliary contact 3 are provided at the movable iron core 11 confronted with the iron core 10. When the coils 6 and 7 are connected in parallel through a switch 4 with a power source 5 in this construction, a diode 8 is so connected as to be in parallel only with the coil 6 and in reverse direction with respect to the power source 5, and the forward diode 9 is connected to the contact 3 in series therewith. Thus, the variation in the attracting the coil 6 to the coil 7 to thereby smooth the override of the main contact 12 and to eliminate the off adjustment of the auxliary contact 3.
