Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability by stopping the phase correction if a phase difference between an input data and an output clock exceeds a prescribed value thereby eliminating out of synchronism even to a data having a peak shift. CONSTITUTION:A reference processing circuit 11 inputs a reproducing data 101 and a reference clock 102 and generates a pulse signal 103 synchronously with the clock 102. Then a phase difference detection circuit 12 detects a deviation of the output clock 104 and the clock 102 from an ideal output of position when the signal 103 is given to the circuit 12. Then a phase correction stop circuit 13 outputs a phase correction stop signal 106 when the output of the circuit 12 exceeds a prescribed range. Thus, a phase correction circuit 14 applies phase correction of the clock 104 according to the output value 105 when no signal 106 exists and no phase correction is applied when the signal 106 is outputted. Thus, no out of synchronism is caused to a data having a peak shift like a reproducing signal from a floppy disk and the reliability is improved.
