PURPOSE:To shorten a time to detect a phase, by accumulating each chip of an input PN code system and that of a local PN code system in a shift register sequentially, and performing pattern comparison corresponding to the length of the shift register. CONSTITUTION:The local PN code of a D-type flip-flop 6 is compared with the input PN code of an input shift register 1 at every chip by a logic circuit. Also, accumulation data is read out from a RAM9 addressed by an address counter 5, and an adder 8 performs the addition of the data on comparison data, and updates the result in the same address as the accumulation data. An arithmetic control part 10 judges an accumulation data(correlative value) point which becomes maximum in the accumulation data corresponding to each address, and detects that the address shows the correction value of a PN code phase. Therefore, when correction is needed, the addition of a pulse is performed on a pulse addition circuit 11. In such a way, a timing by which a local PN code system is generated can be accelerated, and it is possible to perform the coincidence of the phase of the local PN code system with that of the input PN code system in the phase of the chip.
