Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive photosensitive body capable of being thrown away after using it only once through a simple process by spraying a conductive agent over the roughened surface of a rotating cylindrical substrate and continuing rotation after coating and thus forming a conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum pipe 1 manufactured by electroforming and drawing having an 10 point average roughness (Rz) of 1.5-2.5mum is provided with flanges 4 on both ends if rotated in 1,500rpm by a motor 3 and spray coated with a cyclohexane dispersion of a 5wt.% solid containing powdery carbon (C) and a urethane resin (R) in a C/R ratio of 50/50 by the spraying conditions of 1.5mm nozzle diameter and 1.5kg/cm<2> air pressure, and dried by continuing the rotation for 10min at a temperature of 100 deg.C, and finally, dried at 130 deg.C for 30min to form a drum having a film thickness of 15-20mum and a 10 point average roughness (Rz) of 0.4-0.6mum. The photosensitive body is obtained by laminating an interlayer, an electric charge generating layer, and a charge transfer layer on this drum.
