Conventionally, the photosensitive drum has a short tube having the same length as the shape of the final photosensitive drum, and then has a high accuracy such as the smoothness of the surface and the straightness of the drum. It has been manufactured by providing a photoreceptor layer thereon after performing a process for making the same.

On the other hand, the development of inexpensive and safe organic photoreceptor materials has been remarkable as a photoreceptor material, and excellent performance can be achieved simply by applying a coating solution obtained by dissolving or dispersing an organic photoreceptor together with an appropriate binder if necessary onto a raw tube. It is possible to make a photosensitive drum.

That is, the present invention provides a cylindrical molded product obtained by extruding and curing a thermosetting resin in which carbon is dispersed from an extruder having a screw having a smooth portion at a tip end,
The insulating resin coating liquid is introduced directly into the means for applying an insulating resin coating liquid comprising a dipping tank having a through-hole having a diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the cylindrical molded product at the bottom portion containing the insulating resin coating liquid. A coating film is formed, followed by drying the insulating resin coating film by a drying means. Then, at least one of the bottoms containing the photoconductor coating liquid has a diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the cylindrical molded product. A photoreceptor drum is continuously manufactured by forming at least one photoreceptor layer on the insulating resin coating film by means of applying a photoreceptor coating solution comprising a dipping tank having a through hole. Is the way.

Here, in order to obtain a molded product having an important precision as a raw material tube for a photosensitive drum, such as surface smoothness or straightness, for example, the self-shape is formed simultaneously with the extrusion in the above-described screw smooth portion. It is important to shape-harden the resin to such an extent that it can be maintained, and to set the temperature in the extrusion molding machine according to the type of the thermosetting resin. Here, as the thermosetting resin, phenol resin, melamine resin, urea resin, unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin, silicone resin, allyl resin, xylene resin, aniline resin and polyethylene resin, polypropylene resin, polystyrene resin, polyvinyl chloride resin Examples thereof include those obtained by adding a cross-linking agent to a thermoplastic resin such as a phenol resin and a melamine resin.

In addition, in order to continuously form a photosensitive drum using the above-described method by a method described later, the resistance measured on the surface of the raw tube is not sufficient.
It is required to be 10 8 Ω · cm or less, especially 10 6 Ω · cm or less. Therefore, it is necessary to disperse carbon in all the molded products in an amount of 3 to 30% by weight, depending on the type.

In the present invention, the base tube continuously obtained by the above-described method is then coated with the insulating resin coating liquid continuously by means of applying the insulating resin coating liquid, and then dried to form the insulating resin coating film. . This is achieved by providing a through-hole at the bottom slightly larger in diameter than the outer diameter of the photoreceptor base tube, providing an immersion tank in which the coating liquid can be filled, and moving the base tube through the through-hole. In the present invention, the photoreceptor is then applied by means for applying a photoreceptor coating solution. This method may be the same as the method for applying the insulating resin coating liquid. In order to form a so-called multi-layer type photoreceptor having a plurality of photoreceptor layers, a drying unit is provided after the coating unit, and a unit for applying a photoreceptor coating liquid is repeated.
