Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and durability of a photosensitive body by incorporating a specified hydrazone compound in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer 4 of the photosensitive body is formed by laminating a carrier generating layer 2 composed essentially of a carrier generating material and a carrier transfer layer 3 composed essentially of as a carrier transfer material the hydrazone compound represented by formula I in which each of Ar1-Ar3 is aryl; each of Ar4-Ar6 is arylene; and each of R1-R3 is alkyl or aryl. The layer 3 can be formed by coating the layer 2 with a solution containing said compound of formula II and a desired amount of binder resin, such as polycarbonate, and the lamination order of the layers 2, 3 may be reversed.
