Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the display angle of a display device invariably constant by simple constitution and to determine the fitting position of the display device freely by providing a reflection type hologram based upon plane waves in two directions and a transmission type hologram based upon a plane wave and a spherical wave on a projection optical path from the display device. CONSTITUTION:Laser light from an oscillator 11 is split into two by a splitter 12 and the two plane waves from the top and reverse surface of a negative plate 3 are projected interfering with each other, thereby forming the reflection type hologram 3 through development. Light from an oscillator 21 is split into two and the plane wave and spherical waves are projected interfering with to form the transmission type hologram 5. Information from the display device 4 is diffracted by the hologram 5, transmitted light is made incident on the hologram 3 as a plane wave, and a driver 6 views its reflected wave together with a foreground. Information is therefore the plane wave, so the display angle is invariably constant and the fitting position of the display device 4 is selected freely, and the transmission type hologram satisfies Bragg condition over a wide wavelength range and even when the reflected main wave length of the hologram 3 is different from a designed value, that is compensated.
